Whats the correct age to stop trick or treating cos it was no 7 year olds banging down my door on Saturday night, big lumps of 13/14 year olds, and to say they wouldn't stop is putting it mildly, the same ones kept coming back, I know its a hazard cos my house is on the street but at least 20 times they hammered at the door, and it wasn't early either, around 10.
I turned the telly up louder and ignored them in case any ones wondering, cant be arsed dealing with teenage angst, I have enough of my own :)
I went straight from school to College in 1999 and I thought the school year was the longest 9 months ever.I went back to college this year after 7 years (6 years of working, 1 year if doing nothing). Yesterday I looked at my timetable for the year and we actually only have 23 weeks of college, 23 weeks out of 52, taking out midterms, work experience weeks, holidays etc.
When you do the College thing the first time round you don't appreciate this. But after working and only getting 4 weeks holidays a year, I am going to appreciate these half years of College and enjoy them.
Yup I'm team Kanye. C'mon your supposed to be a worldwide singing sensation who just won best video at the VMA's Kanye comes up on stage steals your thunder and you just look and him and start crying, I would have roared at him, "wheres your synthesiser, least I can sing." She is on to the best thing of her life because people that 5 days ago would only know her as having that very annoying song about Romeo and Juliet, now know her name, age, what song she won best video for.... He made her more famous than she could imagine.
I'm not saying he was right in what he has done, but its funny. As for people writing on sites and blogs "Oh I wish you had died in that car crash" Don't even start me.... Its a lot worse to type that from your home than to get up on stage and grab a mic.
If anyone hasn't noticed over the years, Kanye likes to be Controversial, Ive been a fan of him and his music since "Through the Wire" came out, many moons ago now. He doesn't keep his mouth shut, if he see's something he doesn't like, he says it. Why not! People always so stupid stuff at these award shows, that's what keeps the viewers, it would be boring if nothing happened.
And for the record, Beyonce should have won the award.
Come September guess where I'm going...... No not work, College. I know I'm mad, you don't have to tell me, but I'm excited, very excited. Finally I have a reason to get up in the morning, I know I will be complaining after a week about buses and timetables and 18 year olds. Yeah 18 year olds, how scary, I will be one of the oldest people there. The last time I was in college I didn't even know anyone over the age of 24 went to college, I was 17 and a small bit wet behind the years.... there was a few people on VTOS in my class and I thought they were ancient.... now I'm 4 years older than them. Funny how things work out. At least now when people I haven't seen in a while ask me what I'm up to, I can say I am off to College in September as appose to "Nothing, at the moment" Not that that's the reason I'm going but it is nice as its a conversation starter instead of the usual silence that ensues after "Nothing" I wonder if anyone will hold it against me If i tell everyone the first week that I'm 24 instead of 27.......
I got a tattoo, its something I always wanted to do but never got around to, which I'm glad about cos I've no idea what I would have got when I was younger, something stupid like a playboy bunny on my ass no doubt. I was a bit nervous leading up to it as I had heard its sore, very sore. I didn't find it a bit sore, my Aunt came with me, as she had three already and knew what I was facing, she told me in the car "You'd rather be home eating ice cream but then you wouldn't have a tattoo" and she was right, its an uncomfortable feeling, literally like someone is sticking needles in you, but 100% bearable. I suppose it depends on you tolerance for pain but I thought nothing of it and not enough to put me off getting another one.
The worst part for me was after, the minding it and making sure I don't itch or pick at it, I'm embarrassed to say I'm a scab picker, I cant leave anything alone to heal. I pick at everything so it was a form of torture knowing I had a scab I couldn't touch, but I got through it, mainly because it was on the back of my neck and I couldn't see it. And now I'm branded for life, I do admit I panicked a bit about an hour before, its so permanent, my neck will never be the same again, it will be branded. But as soon as that wave of panic was over, I was fine. But no more, one is enough, for now anyway.........
I havent blogged in yonks, I have been busy, doing what you may ask, well I have no idea. Answers on a postcard please. I just cant believe May is almost over, I still havent gotten my head around February....... Time to look into college courses I think, nothing much else happening. I dont know if I could really go back to all that again, but what choice do I have, I havent worked in a year, listening to the news looks like theres not going to be much around any time soon so unless I make a job for myself, its all I can do!
